Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the Menopause Clinic for?

The clinic is for women seeking assessment, discussion and management of menopause-related concerns, including symptoms that may be affecting day-to-day wellbeing.

Why do I need to book a Menopause Clinic appointment?

Menopause and perimenopause consultations often require a more detailed review than a standard GP appointment. This may include discussing symptoms, treatment options, medical history and ongoing management in more depth.

For this reason, if menopause or perimenopause is the main reason for your visit, please book a Menopause Clinic appointment.

Can menopause still be discussed in a standard GP appointment?

No. If menopause or perimenopause is the reason for your consultation, you will need to book a dedicated Menopause Clinic appointment.

GP and Menopause Clinic services are provided separately, as they involve a different assessment and management approach. Booking the correct appointment type helps ensure the appropriate time is allocated for your care.

Other non-menopause GP concerns can continue to be addressed in a standard GP appointment.

When should I book the Menopause Clinic?

Please select the Menopause Clinic appointment type if your consultation is mainly about:

  • menopause symptoms
